A Bug's Life

Ordinary World-
Flik is first introduced working in his colony. He is trying to present clever ideas to his Queen Ant and she keeps on turning him down. Flik comes to the conclusion that nothing that he does will help the colony and something is going to need to change
Call To Adventure-

Flik causes the flood by blocking the water flow so he is punished by the queen ant. He doesn’t flood colony on purpose but the other bugs do not believe him so he heard of a way to get them to believe him that he is not a traitor.

Refusal of the Call-
The refusal of the call comes when the princess cant doesn’t give permission to Flik to go out of the colony. She tells him that no one has gone out then come back alive and she strongly disagrees with his choice. But finally she lets Flik go so the colony can gather food without him messing it up again.

Tests, Allies and Enemies-
Flik comes across his first allie- Dot. Flik befriends Dot when Dot was being picked on by a bigger bug. But that is when he comes across his first enemy while he was defending Dot- Hopper. Hopper did not like the fact that Flik stood up to him because he was just a little ant. They are complete opposites and do not like each other. Flick then comes back to the colony with the warrior bugs and then the colony accepts him more than before.

First Threshold
The first challenge occurs when Dot falls down and the bird comes after her and Flik has to save her. He uses his mental strengths to win the first battle instead of physical power because he is lacking that.

Innermost Cave-
Flik faces the innermost cave when the colony finds out he lied to them about the warrior bugs. He continues to lie about it in hope the other ants wont find out. The innermost cave is the lie he is trying to keep from anyone and he is about to lose Princess Atta’s trust.

the Ordeal- Flik's ordeal is that he had to  use the bird to scare away Hopper.  Once the bird crashes to the ground Flik tells hopper that he was the one who did it. This now characterizes as brave, smart and not afraid to voice his opinion versus when Flik was very shy and scared of Hopper and insecure. Flik was likely to die after Thumper beat him up as a punishment from Hopper.

Resurrection and Rebirth-
At the beginning of the movie, Flik was the outcast but at certain point he confronts Hopper and tells the bitter truth infront of everybody, He tells Hopper that he isn't the supreme being of everything. When Flik  was done telling Hopper what he thought of  the situation the consequences  almost cost  him his life. Everyone now realizes that Flik is no longer a weakling but mentally and physically strong.

Road Back-
The final test was when Flik lets Princess Atta take cover and he let Hopper fall into his trap, which was the real bird's nest. This shows that he risked his life  and still determined to finish Hopper once and for all by using the bird and letting Hopper become its food. After this scene, this shows that Flik is a hero because he saved not only his colony's lives and his own.

Reward-
The  main reward comes when Flik gets into a relationship with the soon to be queen ant. He accomplishes all that he set out on his adventure for and probably one of the most important of all, gains back the trust of the bugs in his colony.

Return of the Elixar-
Flik returns to his ordinary world collecting food for his colony without the fear of Hopper and the other grasshoppers. The ants are no longer in slavery and can live in peace and comfort of their own home. Fliik uses his intelligence to create more of the inventions he had created in the beginning.  He helps Princess Atta become queen after her mother thought how she handled the whole situation. The ordinary world is now more positive and peaceful.
